Hall's Corner was built under the Federal Section 236 Program under which
housing for moderate income senior citizens and mobility impaired was
subsidized. There is a minimum basic rent for each apartment. Currently the
minimum basic rent for a 1 bedroom apartment is $574/month and the basic rent
for a 0 bedroom (efficiency) apartment is $457/month. There are a limited
number of rental assistance subsidies available to tenants who cannot afford
these basic rents. Tenants who are able to secure a rental assistance payment
are permitted to pay an amount equivalent to 30% of their adjusted gross
income. Tenants for whom 30% of their adjusted gross income is higher than the
basic rents will pay the higher amount.

The Oak Creek Apartments were built under the Federal Section 202/Section 8
Program which developed housing affordable to low income senior citizens and
the mobility impaired. All tenants pay 30% of their gross income in rent. To
qualify for Oak Creek you must be a low income household.
